The 70th Independence Day Celebration of India began in the NavSadhana campus with the flag hoisting by the Principal of the NavSadhana Kala Kendra, Post Graduate College of Music and Dance on August 15, 2019 at 8.30 a.m. in the presence of the staff and students of the college as well as in the presence of employees of NavSadhana Regional Pastoral Centre, MSFS brothers, Novices of Holy cross and Junior sisters of St.Ann’s Convent, Harahua. It was followed by a cultural programme in the Milan Hall.

The cultural programme began with the prayer service along with the readings from the four scriptural texts of Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh Religions as well as praying for the country and her leaders. The Rukmani and Tyagraj Groups presented melodious and mind capturing patriotic songs composed by them. A patriotic dance was performed by the students under the guidance of Sir Robin and a Group dance was performed by II and III year students under the guidance of Ms. Roshma. It enthralled the audience, who had accolade for their performance. The vote of thanks was proposed by Sr. Rosely SRA, Vice Principal and anchoring was done by Ms. Archana and Ms. PriyaMinj. The celebration came to end with the distribution of sweets to all present.
