The DeekshantSamaroh was held on Nav Sadhana premises on March 3, 2013. The chief guest,Prof. Geshe Nagwang Sameten, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Tibetan Studies, Sarnath, well-versed in Buddhist philosophy, Sanskrit, Hindi, Pali,Tibatan language,culture and monastic education system, was highly appreciative of the effort made by NavSadhana Kala
Kendra in nurturing integral personality growth stressing spiritual dimensions in formation. The 15thDeekshant Samaroh wreathed 25 students with degrees who gave a captivating glimpse of classical music and dance.

The Chairman of NavSadhanaKala Kendra, Most Rev. Dr. RaphyManjaly, Bishop of Varanasi, presided over the function. In his address he applauded the efforts of the staff and students for a soul gratifying recital and performance. His excellency also released an audio CD ‘Pyare Pitah’ on God’s love, and ‘Sanskritik Shrinkhala’ a DVD with classical and folk dances which have
been produced, recorded by NavSanchar Department. He said the college was grooming future professionals and maestros of the Indian Classical Arts and Culture.

Kala Kendra in its efforts of promoting Indian Classical Music and Dance honoured PadmaShri, Padma Bhushan, Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan, an eminent proponent of Bhartanatyam, and Pt.
Pashupatinath Mishra a renowned vocalist, who comes from pre-Independent era and Pt. Kumar Lal Misra leading Tablist of Benares Gharana with the Printania Award 2012,sponsored by Mr.Albert D’Souza, an Educationist and Publisher.These awardees carry with them an institution, an age, and love and dedication for classical arts. We had a guest artist Mr. Girish Menon whose voice echoed the sounds of a maestro with its dexterity, discipline melodies in classical ragas.

Among the invitees there were provincials Rev. Sr. Vinaya, S.R.A. and Rev. Sr. Reena, S.H.M.and ShriRajendra Prasad, Chief Assistant District Panchayat Officer, Sonebhadra,Media
Persons from different Papers and Channels, besides the guardians, parents and relatives, Religious Fathers, Sisters, friends and well-wishers of NavSadhana for the function. The
program was anchored by Dr. Ramsudhar Singh one of the faculty members of the Kala Kendra.
The welcome address was given by the principal Dr. Fr. V. Sebastian, and the vote of thanks was delivered by the student leader Sr. Victoria Fathima.
