The 21stDeekshantSamaroh – Arangetram was held at NavSadhana Kala Kendra (NSKK), Post Graduate College of Music and Dance, Tarna, Varanasi on March 17, 2019. The celebration started with the academic procession of the graduate students led by their teachers Dr. B.P. Tiwari and Sir. Robin. The Principal Rev. Fr. Wilfred Moraswelcomed all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and the graduands. Prof. T.N. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi KashiVidyapeeth was the chief guest. He congratulated the awardees and the new graduates and wished them God’s blessing for the bright future. Giving award is the sign of recognition of their contribution and commitment to the music and dance. He appreciated the commitment and discipline of the staff and students, especially of the Principal Dr. Fr. Wilfred Moras for his able guidance, and cordial, friendly fellowship and for creating a familial atmosphere for all who enter this campus.
Most Rev. Eugene Joseph, Chairman of NavSadhana and Bishop of Varanasi, who presided over the function, commented the efficient and effective administration and organization of the Director and Staff of NavSadhana and NavSadhana Kala Kendra. He posed a challenge to the staff and students to make this college as unique, to disseminate the religious, spiritual, social, human values through maintaining the purity of Indian music and dance and to elevate the mind and heart to God as well as to bring peace and harmony in the society. Sir Robin A. and Dr.B. P Tiwari relentlessly prepared the students for their performance on this day, which brought accolade for them. Mr.RajeshBabu was the singer who sang melodiously and Mr.SaradaPrasan Das was theviolin accompanist in Karnatic Music. In Hindustani Music Mr.Anang Gupta and Mr.Rakesh accompanied with the Tabla and Harmonium respectively.
On this auspicious occasion the PRINTANIA AWARD, established by the donation of Mr. Albert D’Souza, Manager, Printania Press, Mumbai, was given to Mrs. S. Saralfor her outstanding performance in Bharatnatyam and other Classical Forms of Indian Dances, to Prof. Vidhushi Mrs. Krishna Chakaravarty for her contribution in the field of Sitar. The award consisted of a Shawl, Memento, Cash and Certificate. Mr. AlbertD’Souza, was himself present for the occasion. After giving away the Award he voiced that the standard of the dance and music performance has been constantly raised and thanked the Gurujan for their diligence, dedication and devotion to the institution and students. Prof. T.N. Singh, Vice Chancellor gave away the certificates to the new graduates, and the certificates to the MERIT HOLDERS in Indira Kala SangeetVishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, C.G

Wilfred Moras, Principal and Director of NavSadhana. It was produced by the guidance and direction of Rev. Fr. C.R.Justy and his team. The Title of DVDs are: Cultural Fusion Vol. 9, and the CD: JeevanKaShroth, a biblical dance drama. The guest of Honour lauded the administration and the faculty for maintaining the high standards and exhorted the students to spread moral, spiritual and social values through dance and music and bring transformation in the society
At the end of the programme there was a Folk Dance on National Integrity. It was choreographied by Ms. RoshmaRuba. Ms. Mamta, College leader delivered the vote of thanks and the function ended with the national anthem. After the function the sumptuous dinner was served to all who witnessed the function.
