On the invitation of Most Rev. Ignatius D’Souza, the Bishop of Bareilly, the dance troupe of NavSadhana Kala Kendra reached Bareilly on 2019. The dance – drama troupe consisting of 20 student-artists and 5 staff members left Varanasi on July 20, 2019 to Bareilly by train.  The dance troupe performed Dances and Dance dramas in the below mentioned schools: Bishop Conrad Senior Secondary School, Hartmann College, Izzatnagar, St. Francis senior secondary School, Sanjay Nagar,  Bareilly, St. Thomas School, Nawabganj, St. Aloysius Senior secondary School, Philibhit, Child Care B.C. School, Harungla, Nirmala senior secondary school, Kathgodam, St. Teresa Senior Secondary School, Kathgodam, St. Joseph’s College Nainital

 

Left Katgodam on July 27, 2019 to Delhi by train.  All arrived at Delhi on July 28th at 00.40.a.m.

Mater De School.Tilak Lane, Rosary Sr. sec. School, Delhi, Cathedral Community hall, St. Francis Se Sales School, Janakpuri, Don Bosco School, Alaknanda, Sahoday Sr. Sec. School, CJM School, New Delhi, St. Columbus School, New delhi, Father Agnel School Gautam Nagar, St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School, MahurVihar, St. Agnel school, Greter Noida and presented cultural evening at Signis Asia and returned back to Varansi 0n 05.08.2019.

Fr. Dr. Wilfred Moras, Director of NavSadhana and Principal of Kala Kendra expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Principals, the staff and the students for having given an opportunity of exposure and experience to the students of Kala Kendra.

In every school the students presented the following items: The Welcome dance expressing a hearty welcome to all august audience and gratitude to all who have helped them to exhibit their skills, abilities and aptitudes. Three skits were presented based on social themes: DayaluBano: This Biblical Dance Drama is on God’s forgiveness and love explained in the present context. Hum HongeKamyam skit portraying that the differently disabled people need to have sympathy, sensitivity and compassion from the society and family rather than despising them; they require education to stand on their feet. They are not a curse to the society or family; if they were cared for and educated, they would become blessings to humanity. Error in connection: Depicting the right use of mobile. They were followed by the classical dance: AsthaTalam. The artists dancing to the rhythm of eight different rhythmic instruments added the beauty to the programme. The audiences were spell bound by the recital of Classical Bhartanatyam. The programme concluded with a thanksgiving dance.

The students of Kala Kendra won the heart and accolade of the students, staff and principals of different schools of the Lucknow city. It was an occasion to make known to the public the talents of the ARTISTS OF NavSadhana Kala Kendra, a post graduate college of music and dance. The artists of Navsadhana experienced the cordiality and hospitality of the bishop, the priests, the teachers and the students of the Bareilly and Delhi diocesan schools. Many students said they felt at home at Bareilly and Delhi. All the students returned with happy memories to NavSadhana on August 05, 2019.
