July 20, 2019 will remain a Red Letter Day for the newly admitted 29 students of B.A. first Year. At 8.30 a.m. the College Assembly was held. Thereafter the family of NavSadhana gathered together in Milan Hall, at 8.45 a.m. sharp for the Deeksharambh. All the first year students were dressed in their beautiful and modest attire. The shloka gave an atmosphere of devotion and respect for Guru, the words of shloka were Guru Govinddonokhade, kakulagepau after that a song respecting the teachers was sung. Each of the students carried in a thali a coconut, beetle leaf, areca nut, a pen, a banana and Indian sweets with rice as the Indian tradition allows.
Each one came forward and touched the feet of Guru, taking their blessing. All the Professors of Kala Kendra, the staff of NavSadhana were present. Fr.Wilfred, the Principal appreciated the beautiful custom of showing respect to the students and exhorted them to respect the teachers and seek their blessings always in their life. Mr. GovindVarma, the senior teacher spoke on the importance of Deeeksharambh and also explained the significance of the things offered in a thali. The function came to an end with a vote of thanks.
