Sangeet-NrityaMahotsava is the inter-districts and inter-school competition on Music and Dance conducted by NavSadhana Kala Kendra, Post Graduate College of Music and Dance held on Oct. 21, 2019. In this competition Seventeen schools from Varanasi, Ghazipur, Mau, Azamgarh, Mughalsarai districts participated enthusiastically. The inaugural session began sharp at 9.30 a.m. with the lighting of lamp and bhajan sung by the students of NavSadhana Kala Kendra in the presence of Dr. Vidhi Nagar, Head of Dance Department, BHU as the chief guest. In her speech she appreciated the sense of service and love of the missionaries, priests and nuns, as well as the dedication to promote the art and culture, music and dance impeded in the Indian culture. She extolled stating that NavSadhana is theĀ  only college in the whole of North India run by Christians promoting the art and culture of India. She wished them well for the future endeavour. At the end of the speech she declared that the competition is open. The students of various schools participated in solo song and group song, solo dance and group dance. The taalvadya and swarvadya, i.e. instrumental competition was introduced.

The concluding ceremony was held at 3.30 p.m., for which the chief guest was Mr. GaurangRathi, CDO, Varanasi. In his speech she exhorted to educate boys and girls giving respect for both. He encouraged to promote equality, fraternity, solidarity, compassion and love for all. He praised the endeavours of NavSadhana in this direction. He bestowed praises on the college for their dedication and discipline, preservation and promotion of art and culture. He gave away the prizes for the winners in the competitions. On this occasion NavSadhana dance students presented a prayer dance choreographed by Sir Robin. Dr. Fr. Wilfred Moras expressed the vote of thanks to all present. Anchoring was done by Dr.RamSudhar Singh. All returned happily, as all the schools obtained prizes for one item or the other. However the championship shield was awarded to Sunbeam School, Bhagwanpur as they won the maximum prizes.
