Patrick D’Souza, a Visionary and Missionary, lover of music, to promote the art, culture, music and dance in the city of Vishwanath Mandir as well as to develop the innate talents of the buddist artists, who had scintillating, mesmerizing and enthralling performance of Bharatnatyam and Hindustani Music”, said Shri Om Prakash Chaubey ji, Additional Commissioner (First), Varanasi Mandal, as the Chief Guest of Deekshant Samaroh – Arangetram held at Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra (NSKK), Post Graduate College of Music and Dance, Tarna, Varanasi on March 25, 2017. He congratulated the new graduates and exhorted them to practice it every day to excel in the field of music and dance. Mr. Jai Prakash Singh, Manager, B.H.E.L., Varanasi was the Guest of Honour, who appreciated the commitment and discipline of the staff and students, especially the Principal Dr.Fr.V.Sebastian for his able guidance, and cordial, friendly fellowship and for creating a familial atmosphere for all who enter this campus. Most Rev. Eugene Joseph, Chairman of Nav Sadhana and Bishop of Varanasi, who presided over the function, commented the efficient and effective administration and organization of the Director and Staff of Nav Sadhana and Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra. He posed a challenge to the staff and students to make this college as unique to disseminate the religious, spiritual, social, human values through maintaining the purity of Indian music and dance and to elevate the mind and heart to God as well as to bring peace and harmony in the society. He congratulated the awardees and the new graduates and wished them God’s blessing for the bright future. Giving award is the sign of recognition of their contribution and commitment to the music and dance. He voiced that the standard of the dance and music performance has been constantly raised and thanked the Gurujan for their diligence, dedication and devotion to the institution and students. Sir Robin A. and Dr.B.P.Tiwari relentlessly prepared the students for their performance on this day, which brought accolade for them. Mr.Rajesh Babu was the singer who sang melodiously and Mr.Sarada Prasan Das was violin accompanist in Karnatic Music. In Hindustani Music Mr.Anang Gupta and Mr.Vijay Tirkey accompanied in Tabla and Harmonium respectively.
On this auspicious occasion the PRINTANIA AWARD, established by the donation of Mr. Albert D’Souza, Manager, Printania Press, Mumbai, was given to Dr. Satyanarayana Raju for his outstanding performance in Bharatnatyam and other Classical Forms of Indian Dances, to Prof. Dr. Shobha Rani Kodesia for her contribtion in the field of Tabla. The award consisted of Shawl, Memento, Cash and Certificate. Mr. Jai Prakash Singh gave away the Printania Award. Mr. Om Prakash Chaubey gave away the certificates to the new graduates, and the certificates to the MERIT HOLDERS in Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, C.G. They are as follows:

On this auspicious occasion three DVDs and one Audio CD were released by Most Rev.Eugene Joseph, President, Mr. Om Prakash Chaubey, Chief Guest, Mr.Jai Prakash Singh, Guest of Honour and Dr.Fr.V.Sebastian, Principal and Director of Nav Sadhana. It was produced by the guidance and direction of Rev.Fr.C.R.Justy and his team. The Title of DVD: Cultural Fusion Vol. 7, Dayalu Bano and Mamta ki Chhaya and the CD: Ish Bhavan Main.
At the end of the programme there was a dance drama, which portrayed mercy, forgiveness, compassion and love the Lord Jesus towards the sinful woman caught in adultery and accused by the Jewish people to stone her. It was choreographied by Ms. Damini Mariyam. The day ended with the sumptuous dinner for all who witnessed the function. At the inception all were welcomed by Dr.Fr.V.Sebastian, Director and Principal of the College and compeering was done by Dr.Ramsudhar Singh and vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Jenifer, leader of the college.
