A bond of love and surrender is the need of the hour for a student to have deeksha from a Guru according to the Indian tradition, said Dr.Fr.V.Sebastian, Principal of Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra, Post Graduate College of Music and Dance. Where there is love, there follows success and wealth, he further stated on the occasion of Deeksharambh on July 20, 2013. The students offered gifts and sought blessings by touching the feet of Gurus on this day. Dr.Ramsudhar Singh articulated that the ceremony makes every Guru to a realization of his/her duty towards his/her disciples to impart knowledge, discipline and character building without disparity, but with equality, love, affection, generosity and dedication. The first year B.A. students sang a mellifluous song: Guru hain, aakhon ke tare… (Guru is the star of their life…). The programme was anchored by Miss Shivali and thanked by Bro. Mukti Prakash.
