REGIONAL BIBLE FESTIVAL

NOV. 2-4, 2012

One of the joyful events in the life of youths of Agra Ecclesiastical Region is the celebration of the Regional Bible Festival and Good News Festival at Nav Sadhana Regional Pastoral Centre, Varanasi. It was held from Nov. 2 to 4, 2012. There were 140 youths of region to participate in the various competitions conducted by Nav Sadhana, such as classical and folk dances, singing, speech, miming, painting and drawing, etc. The winners were awarded prizes. The culmination was the colourful cultural evening on Nov. 4, 2012, for which the Chief Guest was Most Rev.Dr. Raphy Manjaly, Bishop of Varanasi and Chairman of Nav Sadhana and the Guest of Honour was Shri Bhanu Chandra Goswami, I.A.S., Chief Development Officer, Varanasi. Both of them highly lauded the efforts of Nav Sadhana to preserve and promote the Indian art and culture through Indian classical and folk dances and Music. Youths from Agra, Allahabad, Bijnor, Gorakhpur, Jhansi and Varanasi participated in the Bible Festival and to their satisfaction won the prizes. The championship shield went to both Allahabad and Varanasi Dioceses. It was the first time to occur the joint championship. The celebration concluded with ambrosian dinner. The invited guests had accolade for the meticulous, systematic planning and execution by the Director and staff of Nav Sadhana. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ.
