22nd October 2011 was THE DAY for our Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra. It was the day when the Inter School Sangeet and Nritya Mahotsav was held in our Milan Hall.Ten schools of the Region participated. From the previous day itself the students began to arrive with their teachers. Next morning all the participants with their teachers accompanying them arrived, carrying the accompaniments instruments, Harmoniums, Tabala, and Tanpura.The lot was taken by each teacher to know who would be the first performer. The programme began at 10 a.m. with lighting of the Lamp by the chief Guest Mr.Rakesh Kulchhestra,Director Central Mine Security Department along with our Judges who came all the way from Allahabad FR.Regi and Mrs.Jyotiwith the devotional Bhajan sang by our Kaka Kendra Music group. Mr.Ram Sudhar Singh welcomed the guest. Classical Welcome dance was performed by our students which was very much appreciated.Then began the competitions, vocal Hindustani solo and group by category A-and B. Junior and senior students of different schools.Second round was Indian Classical Dance Solo and Group as well as Indian folk dance. One was par excellent then the other, in costumes and in performance.Second chief guest to distribute certificate was the Principal of Baldev Degree College, Badagaon Dr. Udyan Mishra. Ist prize in all the items went to Sunbeam Schools of Bhagawanpur and Varuna..The Milan Hall resounded with clappings and cheering of the teachers and students.The certificates and cash envelopes were handed over to the winners.The vote of thanks was delivered by Sr.M. Cyrilla.The programme was well organized by Fr.S. Joseph and Kala Kendra staff and students.
