The 70th Republic Day of our Country, India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. It began with the Eucharistic celebration offered by the Director, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Moraswith the students and prayed for the Nation. At 8.30 a.m. the tri-colour national flag was hoisted in front of the NavSadhana Kala Kendra by the Principal. The National anthem was sung by the staff and students of the college. On this day all paid respect to the country and the legends who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India.
A well prepared cultural programme enhanced the joy of all. The vocal students sang melodiously. KhoonThanKe, a dance depicting the patriotic feelings was presented by the second year students. Patriotic songs were sung by the students, which evoked love and devotion towards the country. AkshatPratap Singh and Deepak highlighted the importance of Republic day in their English and Hindi speech respectively. The classical dance by the third year students captured the attention of all. The Dance Jhansi Ki Rani, directed by Mrs. NehaKeshari left the audience spellbound. The Principal in his speech emphasized the sacrifices made by Mahatma Gandhi and the freedom fighters. He reminded Gandhi’s principles of Non-violence and peace as well as the need to follow his paths. He congratulated for their excellent scintillating performance. The programme was anchored by Luv Gupta. Ms.Mamta proposed the vote of thanks. At the end sweets were distributed on this auspicious day. The day was glorious as the sun shone brightly, dispelling the gloom and darkness, foretelling the bright future of India.
