NirtyaSangeetMahotsav was held on 1st Nov 2014 in the post degree college of NavSadhana Kala Kendra. This year 15 Schools participated in this Inter-School completion. Opening of competitions was done by the respected Mr.Anurag Singh who was  chief guest of the programme. Mr.RavindraJaiswal, M.L.A,Varanasi, belonging to BJP party was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony and prize distribution. He thanked the Principal Fr.Dr.V.Sebastian and staff of the NavSadhana Kala Kendra, a Post Degree college of Music and Dance for having invited him. He appreciated the Christian Degree College taking keen interest in promoting the ancient Indian classical Music and Dance in this modern age where people go after advanced technology. He stated in his address that he would certainly convey the honourablePrime Minister, Mr.NarendraModiji his pleasant experience in NavSadhana Kala Kendra and the beautiful cultural programme which he witnessed. He was indeed mesmerized and highly impressed  by the special classical Bharatnatyam Dance performed by the Degree college students of NavSadhana Kala Kendra. He awarded those students who won in the competitions. The items of competition were Hindustani Vocal Solo, Group Hindustani Vocal, Indian classical Dance- Solo, India Folk Dance in Group and Indian Instruments. The students participated enthusiastically. In his message Fr.Dr.V.Sebastian, the Principal of the college felicitated and blessed the young budding artists to make progress and to promote this heritage of India and keep it alive as it leads one to have God experience as well as it elevates mind and heart to God. He thanked the different School Principals for encouraging the children to participate in this Sangeet&NrityaMahotsav as well as those teachers who prepared and accompanied them for the same. The principal also thanked the staff namely Sir GovindVerma for the words of Welcome, Sir.VengadeshPrabhu for his valuable guidance for Welcome Dance, Sir Robin for his direction to the  classical bharatnatyam and Sir Rakesh and his team for preparing meticulously certificates and prizes. Thus Inter School Sangeet&NrityaMahotsav came to an end.
