The 63rd Republic Day celebration was held with flag hoisting in front of Kala Kendra, College of Dance and Music on Jan. 26, 2012. The flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Mr. Haripriya Chaudari, General Manager, BHEL, Varanasi. The Chief Guest received the salute from the students and honoured the national flag. There was a short cultural programme with patriotic songs and dances. Mr. Chaudariji expressed appreciation of the management’s efforts to promote art and culture of our country, which requires love, dedication and diligence. The national freedom fighters and martyrs were remembered and paid respect to them. He exhorted in his speech to work for maintaining the true freedom, equality, fraternity enshrined in our national constitution. It was concluded with the vote of thanks rendered by Fr. Dr.Paul D’Souza, Director.
