Today I witness to the enthralling performance of Bharatnatyam and Hindustani Music by the budding artists of Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra”, said Prof. Dr. Mandavi Singh as the Chief Guest of Shiksha – Deekshant Samaroh – Arangetram held at Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra (NSKK), Post Graduate College of Music and Dance, Tarna, Varanasi on April 3, 2016. She congratulated the new graduates and exhorted them to practice it every day to excel in the field of music and dance. She noticed and appreciated that all the graduates participated in the Arangetram. It showed the commitment and discipline of the staff and students. She left the place pleasant and memorable evening function and experience. Most Rev. Eugene Joseph, Chairman of Nav Sadhana and Bishop of Varanasi, who presided over the function, commented the efficient and effective administration and organization of the Director and Staff of Nav Sadhana and Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra.  He posed a challenge to the staff and students to make this college as unique to disseminate the religious, spiritual, social, human values through the music and dance and to elevate the mind and heart to God as well as to bring peace and harmony in the society. He had the words of appreciation for the hard labour of Fr.Justy and the artists in the Nav Sadhana Communication Centre for the release of two DVDs: Cultural Fusion VI, Mukti ka Aagman and a CD: Desh Mere. He congratulated the awardees and the new graduates and wished them God’s blessing for the bright future. Giving award is the sign of recognition of their contribution and commitment to the music and dance. He voiced that the standard of the dance and music performance has been constantly raised and thanked the Gurujan for their diligence, dedication and devotion to the institution and students. Sir Robin A. and Sir Govind Verma relentlessly prepared the students for their performance on this day, which brought accolade for them.

On this auspicious occasion the PRINTANIA AWARD, established by the donation of Mr. Albert D’Souza, Manager, Printania Press, Mumbai, was given to Prof Dr. Madhavi Natarajan for her outstanding performance in Bharatnatyam and other Classical Forms of Indian Dances, to Prof. Dr. Tej Singh Tak for his remarkable contribution to Hindustani Music – Vocal and to Prof. Dr. Ramoo Prasad Shastri for his contribtion in the field of Violin. The award consisted of Shawl, Memento, Cash and Certificate. Prof. Dr. Mandavi Singh gave away the Printania Award, the certificates to the new graduates with trophy, and the certificates to the students of Nav Sadhana Kala Kendra affiliated to the Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, C.G., who were merit/rank holders in the university:

At the end of the programme there was a skit with dance, which portrayed how Mother Teresa of Kolkota and her congregation sisters embody the love and compassion and serve the people of the peripheries: the poor, the least, last and lost of the society. It portrayed also conversion of a man to dedicate his life for the service of the poor along with the nuns. The day ended with the sumptuous dinner for all who witnessed the function. At the inception all were welcomed by Dr.Fr.V.Sebastian, Director and Principal of the College and compeering was done by Dr.Ramsudhar Singh and vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Suchita Xalxo, leader of the college.
